Rhys and Tania Adlam have been in the transport industry for 30 years, predominantly in rural transport. For the first 18 years Rhys was working in livestock cartage and the last 12 years has been in bulk transport.
Rhys and Tania now run 5 Kenworth Trucks, 3 Alloy bathtub units and 2 Dropsider Tipper units. They pride themselves on having good quality trucks that are well maintained and kept to a high standard to ensure they can service their clients without disruption and provide their drivers with reliable vehicles they can enjoy driving. They also have two skilled and experienced Owner Drivers which takes the fleet up to 7 trucks.
They have a great team of experienced staff members who also have the same pride and enthusiasm in the trucking industry as they both do. The work they carry out ranges from stock feed to fertilizer - bagged and bulk, metal for roading and driveways, lime, wood chip and sawdust, compost and vermicast, bulk freight, posts, timber, hay and silage bales. They also own the Natures Flame truck which is a specialised truck with a blower unit for the delivering of wood pellets to silos at schools and businesses which use the product for area or water heating. The diversity of the work they complete means they have work for their drivers all year round.
They travel all over the north island weekly to complete the jobs at hand and occasionally travel to the south island as well, to carry out their work. They very rarely find a job they cannot do one way or another and pride themselves on their customers satisfaction with the job done.
Their business has always been a family run business and they enjoy having their children involved and the staff members and their families are part of that too.
